helpers and volunteers
We are in need of more volunteers
to help out at the Mission on the third Monday of the month. Some weeks we have to many and other weeks we don’t have enough. We would like to be able to rotate volunteers so they are there every 3 or more months depending on the amount of people we get to sign up. Please contact Bob Chapman or call Joann at the office if you are interested in signing up. Lets show the Mission that the Methodist members are here to help.

The Lampasas Mission needs additional help in picking up food that is delivered by truck from the Austin Capital Area Foodbank. Pick-ups are done on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the First Baptist Church parking lot at 7 a.m. or thereabouts. If interested please contact Bob Chapman at bchapman50@msn.com or call the church office.

DO YOU NEED HELP???
The Mission and Outreach Committee is looking for ways to help people in need within our congregation and/or our community. We are also looking for volunteers to help with those projects as we learn of them. If you or anyone you know can use some help at your home in the way of small repairs, yard work, help moving things around that might be too much for you by yourself, or any such need, we would like to see if we can help. Of course, funding can be an issue, so if you feel this is a Mission you would like to support financially, please earmark a donation to “Local Missions”. You may contact the church office at 512 556-5513 for any projects you need or know of. Thanks so much.

Needed: Volunteers to deliver  Meals on Wheels
Lampasas has a shortage of volunteers delivering Meals on Wheels. If you could help– even on a "fill in" basis, please contact the Senior Center at 512 556-3858 and ask for Faith. At this time there is a need for a Friday volunteer and a back up.   They also need an aid. This position has to be filled by someone 55 or older with little or no income. You have to qualify for this position. If interested call Faith at the Center.

We are Starting a Prayer Warrior Email Group
We're looking for prayer warriors. This group will receive emails 2 or 3 times a week for prayer requests, or if it is an emergency prayer request it will go out right away. How this will work is, I will receive emails with requests and I will send out an email to our prayer warriors to pray for them. If you want to be part of our group, please let me know and I will put your name and email on the list to receive prayer requests. For everyone needing a prayer put on our list, send the request to this email- prayerwarriors@lampasasmethodist.com

The prayer request will be listed one time only. If you need continued prayers you may send a request again.  So, if you have prayer requests you may send an email to me (Joann King) at prayerwarriors@lampasasmethodist.com or call 254-987-6861. If you want your name to be anonymous, please let me know. Hope to have plenty of prayer warriors join.

Milk for the Mission
The LFUMC Mission Committee met and decided to help the Lampasas Mission. The number of clients at the Mission has increased and the cost of food has also increased. We would like to help by providing some milk to assist the Mission.  For the next few weeks we will be collecting milk. There will be a barrel marked “Milk” in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall.

The Mission can use:
1. Cans of evaporated Milk
2. Quart size packages of Instant Dry Milk
3. Quart size boxes of shelf stable milk (no refrigeration needed)
Your help will be very much appreciated!!

New Prayer Initiative
In 2016 our staff has begun a prayer initiative. Each week we will be praying for six of our families. You will receive a letter the week before we will be praying for your family so you can let us know if you have specific joys or concerns you want us to pray over. It should take about a year to cover the entire body of the church in prayers.

Of course, if there is ever any illness or you are in the hospital, please let the office know so we can put you on the prayer list and have Pastor Paul visit you.

It is a blessing to us to be in prayer for you and even now you are in our hearts and minds.
